Last Monday, June 2, 2008, at around 4pm, someone called me on my Globe cell (his number is 09165431502). Actually, I missed some of his calls because Leai and Thean are hanging out here at my house. I was playing DotA while they were just watching how good I was! =P Anyway, when I already was able to answer his call, I unfortunately kept on hanging him up since my battery by that time was close to being emptied. I was able to get his name since he introduced himself as Ian Valencia and said that I was recommended by Joie (as my high school friends all know). And so, I just texted him asking him who he is, he replied telling his name again, gave his landline and told me to call him as quick as I can. That my phone call is very much waited given that he had something to discuss importantly with me. He even said that it was a good business deal that I could earn lots of money through it (that’s how greedy I am! =P). As my response, I just told him that I am not yet home and the signal from where I am (where I am not really) was not that strong. He just said that I call him as soon as I got home. Apparently, I did call him at around 9pm. If my memory serves me right, he asked me from what school I am, I said of course, from UST. He said that I am the perfect one, since they have already gotten somebody from La Salle, Ateneo, U.P., etc. Moreover, he told me to go to their office and let me jot their address down which is 15th Floor Octagon Building, San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City. He had given me two choices of days, it’s either on Wednesday or Thursday. I thought of going there on Thursday (because, I mistakenly thought that my enrollment is on Wednesday). He even asked me if I am sure, because if ever I have chosen Wednesday, the meeting could have been a little bit earlier. Seemingly, he agreed to hold it on Thursday (which is Today, actually) and told me to be there at 6:30pm. I asked him why not Joie instead, he told me that she is too busy to deal with those kinds of stuff (in fact I know that she is, Mapua makes their students busy ALL THE TIME). I asked him if I could bring along somebody, as his reply, he said that I could even bring my parents along with me, which sort of convinced me to push through it, unconsciously thinking it is safe. However he stated not to bring along so many persons since they could not accommodate all of them. He also mentioned: “Siguro naman eh, professional naman po tayo para hindi po magback-out na lang bigla, ‘di ba? Lahat naman po doon eh sasabihin namin, hindi naman po pwedeng sabihin sa telepono lahat eh, dahil kung pwede yun, eh hindi na po tayo magpapa-meeting ‘di ba?” To cut the long story short, I fell in with him to be there on the said time and on the said place. I told my friend to come along with me and she assented to it. That night on the same date I was able to have a conversation with Joie on YM. I asked her constantly about that. She said she thinks it was advertising and marketing. And so, I thought it was really safe.
And the creepy thing happened just this afternoon, today. I was already ready to meet my friend at Gateway and then go to Ortigas. I had no idea to where I am going to and so, I texted my cousin (since she works there) and asked if she knows about the building. She told me the directions and I was ready to go. My mom asked me what was “my job” all about, I thought it was like FGD -- Focus Group Discussion (I don’t know if you guys are familiar with it), and so I said it was FGD. My sister told me that my cousin wondered how come I will be on an FGD after office hours. Maybe they quite thought that there was something fishy about the job offered to me. My sister asked me where I was going to, I told her so. She said that it sounds proverbial, for this reason, she commanded me to read her blog in her multiply regarding the common matter. I was somewhat scared because I could have plunked myself into a situation where I could not be able to get out. As I’ve read the blogs of other people as regards to the same issue, I decided not to go. I honestly almost cried that moment, as I learned my lesson not to be so tempted to cash. I would like you to see for yourself the things I found out, so that if ever the same thing has happened to you, you won’t even consider to put yourself in the situation I had been into.

I honestly was damn f*cking scared of the thought of being there. Instead, I went to Gateway and meet my friend and she just decided to treat me for a movie. We watched Sex and City. It will start at 6:30pm. God, I hate that time, it still freaks me out!!!! While we are watching the movie, that Ian Valencia kept on texting me, asking where I am. He has been calling me as well. bsta point nito, dey want u to sell their items (pharmaceuticals). ul be spending P12,600 ata to buy the packaged items pra to try it out for ourselves. and den share it to ur friends and family daw. and we can invite them to do the same and we'll be earning whenever may na-recruit ka. neworking nga! bsta when i got there, no offense, pro prang poorness mga tau dun. nka corporate attire p naman ako. eh ung mga tao dun, shirt and maong ok na. buti n nga lang ndi ko sinuot ung blazer na terno pra maging 3pc corpo. bka magbow down cla sakin. mahiya naman cla noh!
